[See Schedule Below - Come to one event this fall if you can!]
Dear MPS Educator,
The MFT is beginning a Welcome Back to School door knocking campaign to reach out to Minneapolis families and community members. We will be listening to their thoughts on education in MPS – including how they feel about the school system, teachers, the union and the education their children are receiving. We want to learn about what they think and feel is needed in order for all of us to do our best. We have partnered with Neighborhoods Organizing for Change for these door knocks.
We understand the first week back to school is jam packed but we hope that some of you can to help get things started. Door knocking will be taking place each week and our vision is to have everyone come out for at least one evening or Saturday event. Additional dates will be announced this upcoming week to give you advance notice of future events.
It is important for us to continue building relationships with the communities we serve. They need to see that we do care about doing the very best we can with all students and that we want their assistance.
